A Game about a Dungeon
Welcome to a Dungeon...
Choose a hero, slay monsters, gain gold, upgrade items, die, and repeat...
A Game about a Dungeon is a autobattler inspired by Backpack Hero, Hearthstone Battlegrounds, and various idle games. This is still a very early version of the game, that unfortunately lacks music or sound effects.
Controls:
- Left Click: Pickup or place item
- Right Click: Rotate item
- Shift-Left Click: Move item to Inventory
- Shift-Right Click: Move item to Battlegrid
- Alt-Left Click: Sell item
- L: Open the combat log to see your last death
Currently there is no in-game tutorial, but here's some tips to get started.
Item's in your Battlegrid automatically activate. Excess items can be stored in your inventory.
Having 3 of the same item in your inventory will combine and upgrade them (if an upgrade is available)
Every 5th level the enemy will drop an item. Every 10th level will be a rarer item. Bosses have a small chance to drop an item unique to them.
Gold gained from fights slowly scale as you get to higher levels.
Each character has a unique buff that is scaled by your record run with that character. This buff is applied to all characters.
This version of the game is free, I really hope you enjoy! Please leave any feedback in the comments, I am looking forward to hearing your thoughts, opinions, or questions.
As a single developer this project would not have been possible without the free assets from Seth's 32rogues (https://sethbb.itch.io/32rogues) and Clockwork Raven's Raven-Fantasy-Icons (https://clockworkraven.itch.io/raven-fantasy-icons) to kickstart the project.
Thanks for checking my game out!

quite enjoyable and addicitive game!
Time Stealer is somewhat OP but it's ok seeing as you need to do all of this setup with runes and what not.
Would love to see more interactions between items from proximity/adjacency
I appreciate the feedback!
The Time Stealer is probably a bit too strong, and more item interaction is a solid idea.
What level were you able to reach?
